About JNCASR

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is an autonomous, multidisciplinary research institute established in 1989 by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, under the leadership of Prof. C. N. R. Rao, FRS. Recognized as a Deemed-to-be University since 2002, JNCASR conducts cutting-edge research across chemistry, physics, biology, engineering, and materials science, supported by strong national and international collaborations. Its mission is to nurture young scientists through rigorous doctoral and master’s programmes. The Centre is consistently ranked among India’s top research institutions, with NAAC A++ accreditation and high standings in the NIRF, Nature Index, and Scimago rankings. The MOFES conference (MOFES’26) will be held at JNCASR from January 12-15, 2026, for the first time, bringing together around 250 participants and 45 distinguished speakers from around the world. The mission of this conference is to foster discussion and collaboration on the advanced utilization of porous materials for the benefit of society, and to explore the future roles and potential of these materials in addressing global challenges.
